Lafayette Little League Scores, March 21 - March 26

Majors Division
Angels 15 Dodgers 8
The unbeaten Halos won a high scoring contest, as Max Flower, Doug Nimura, Sean Heiskell, Tommy Nimura and Bryan Stone all delivered clutch two-out hits. Grant Young and Jack Stryker pitched shutout innings for the winners. Jack Cassidy, Harrison Joy and Gavin Thatcher starred for the Giants.
Dodgers 6 A's 5
The Dodgers scored 4 in the bottom of the sixth to rally past the A's in a walk-off win. After loading the bases with one out, Alex Baldwin delivered a clutch double before Greg Genovese lined a two-bagger to left center for the game winner. Jake Berry, Jake Bequette and Chris Mickas had key hits for the A's.
Angels 12 Cubs 1
Tommy Nimura and Bryon Stone each drove in 3 for the Angels. Cole Gallagher, Tommy Nimura and Jack Stryker led the way on the mound for the winners. The Cubs were led by Tommy Henderson's perfect day at the plate, and stellar defense in centerfield by Grant Jackson.
Yankees 19 Giants 2
Ben Miller and Will Brueckner had 3 hits a piece and Johnny O'Malley drove in 4 as the Yankees exploded for 13 hits. Canon Armistead led the Giants with 2 hits and Harrison Joy added a stand up triple. Adam Remotto held the winners hitless in his two innings on the mound.
A's 4 Cardinals 2
The A's rode five innings of shutout pitching by Jake Berry, Ryan Levy and Chris Hansen to victory in a tight game with the Cardinals. The Cards were led offensively by Trent Nemanic, Matt Stanners, Casey Harrington and Jack Brydon.
Yankees 11 Cubs 8
Alexie Shurtz and Tommy Henderson each went deep for the Cubs, and Drew Ventrelle contributed two hits, including a bases clearing triple.
Cubs 9 A's 4
Alexie Shurtz clubbed a two-run homer to spark a big inning for the Cubbies, and teammates Kaj Simonsen and Will Price had big days at the plate. Jake Berry threw two shutout innings for the A's.
Yankees 6 Dodgers 2
Yankees pitchers, Ben Salquist, Devin Regan, Johnny O'Malley and Will Brueckner combined on a one-hitter while striking out 7 and Devin Regan delivered a clutch single in the 6th. For the Dodgers, Matt Bostwick pitched two scoreless innings and Jackson Taylor went 1 for 2 at the plate.
Giants 20 Red Sox 4
Cannon Armistead went 3 for 4 with a stand up triple and Trevor Martinho got the two-inning save for the Giants. For the Red Sox, Brady Aiello shut down the Giants on one hit in two innings, and Michael Fink had 2 hits and an RBI. Michael Fink went 2 for 2 with an RBI.

AAA Division
March 21 - March 26

Cardinals 3 A's 2
Tim Sears went 2 for 3 for the A's and Tom Caprio added a run scoring single. A's hurlers Gordon Kerns and Carpio combined for seven strikeouts over three shutout innings. For the Cardinals, Andrew DeShong threw two shutout innings and went 2 for 3 at the plate.
Dodgers 13 Redsox 9
Dexter Varrelman was 2 for 4 with a double while Dodger teammate Michael Everton scored three times. Redsox hurler Robby Rowell held the Dodgers in check in his two innings on the mound, limiting the Dodgers to one run while striking out two.
Yankees 13 Mets 9
Bryan "Bam Bam" Bamford went deep for the Yankees, backing the pitching of teammate Colin Fogarty, who faced the minimum in his two innings on the hill. Matty Vicencio had two hits and three RBI. For the Mets, Evan Levy banged out three hits and scored three runs.
Marlins 9 Cubs 6
For the Fish, Harley McKee went three for three with a triple to back the shutout pitching of Mason McKay, Troy Ganter, Travis Armistead and John Bindi. McKee also closed out the game with a shutdown inning on the mound.
Angels 6 Giants 5
With two outs in the sixth, Chase Madeirous snagged a line drive at third to end a Giants rally. Michael Nelson, Jr. was the pitching star for the Giants, striking out six in two innings of work.
Dodgers 7 Giants 6
After two extra innings, the Dodgers finally prevailed in a thriller at Chaney Field. Thomas Higgings, Tyler Ewing and Anthony Schatz all had big hits for the winners, and Michael Everton closed it out with two hitless innings in relief. The Giants were led by Michael Nelson's two-run triple.
A's 11 Cubs 6
Paul Griessel went 2 for 3 for the A's and, along with Ryan Burnett, pitched a shutout inning. The Cubs got 2 hits a piece from Sam Dinerman, Brad Altbaum and Justin Pratt.
Marlins 13 Mets 6
Jon Bindi clubbed a double and a triple and Harley McKee, Travis Armistead and Jonathan Barnes threw shutout innings for the Marlins.
Dodgers 12 Yankees 6
The Dodgers stayed unbeaten in AAA with a preseason win over the Yankees. Jason Cornell and Thomas Higgins led the way with the bats, and Joey Miller struck out the side in one inning of relief. Chris Armanino's perfect day at the plate highlighted a potent Yankee offense.
Redsox 13 Giants 9
In a slugfest, the Redsox pounded out 10 hits, with Nick DeCool going 3 for 3. Kyle Mizell and Nathan Tarkoff added 2 hits and Robby Rowell slammed a double that one-hopped the fence at Cheney field. Chris Nelson, Andre Mannion and Cole Robertson all collected 2 hits for the Giants.
Yankees 8 Redsox 6
Justin Plummer was 2 for 2 with 3 RBI for the Yankees, backing two shutout innings by Kyle Bunting. Robbie Rowell starred offensively for the Sox.
Angels 11 Cardinals 8
Ryan Regan led the Angels to victory, going 3 for 4 at the plate and pitching two perfect innings. The Cards were led by Seppi Ortman's two hits and two shutout innings.
