As president of the Lafayette Community Foundation I would like to thank the staff of the Lamorinda Weekly for its timely assistance in helping to gather and print the materials from each of our city council and board of education candidates who are running in the November 2nd election.
The purpose of the Lafayette Community Foundation is to "enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Lafayette and beyond". In the past a group of citizens called Lafayette Forward regularly sponsored an election pamphlet for city elections. Our LCF board felt that with the number of candidates running for office this year in our city that we could provide a community service by sponsoring the educational material in the September 29th issue of Lamorinda Weekly. Each candidate has prepared their own material and paid their pro rata share of the magazine's cost.
We hope that LCF's efforts to help create an informed electorate will be beneficial to all concerned citizens. Please remember to vote on November 2nd.
