Ellen Beans, of the Moraga Citizens Network, organized an appreciation luncheon for town staff at the Hacienda de las Flores on Valentine's Day. "On this day we recognize the people who are important in our lives and we sometimes take for granted," said Beans. "It is the same thing with our staff. We take your hard work for granted, but today is a day to say thank you!"
Town Manager Jill Keimach said that she is grateful for her staff and the appreciative community. "I've never heard of another community holding an event like this," she said, "and it's wonderful to work in a small community where every one of us can make a big difference and be appreciated for it."
MCN gave each staff member a small gift and singers from the a cappella group "Sir-premes" serenaded the assemblage with love songs.
