DAR Helps to Retire American Flags Respectfully

On Tuesday Oct.11, the Acalanes Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will collect used and worn flags appropriate for retirement.
Volunteers from the group will be collecting the flags from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lafayette Safeway.
The Acalanes Chapter will deliver the flags to the Veterans Center in Lafayette where the American Legion will retire them in a respectful ceremony.
Look for their table near the front door to the Safeway.
