| Rheem Theater Making a Comeback

All summer the Rheem Theater presented first-run Hollywood movies, in a cinema that's been updated for quality viewing and comfort. The heating and air conditioning systems were replaced and the projection and sound systems were improved in all of the projection rooms. Jim Sheehan and Tom Peterson, the two new owners of the Theater, have ambitions beyond the Hollywood block busters. Sheehan and Peterson plan to have one of their screens show art, specialty and foreign movies starting in October. They are kicking off the season with the presentation of "Tell No One" (Ne le dis ²† personne), which opened on August 29th and will run for at least two weeks. Guillaume Canet's contemporary thriller, "Tell No One," is an adaptation of Harlan Coben's 2001 bestseller. The mystery movie, which is beautifully written and acted, got excellent reviews in both the New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle. Although Sheehan and Peterson are seeking to diversify their offerings, the tandem is well aware that the theater is a family favorite, where parents feel safe to drop off their children. To foster that secure feeling, they have hired a new manager who will bring maturity as well as experience. "You can be sure that the staff will remain attentive to all of our customers," confirms Sheehan, who knows that being part of the community has always been part of the landmark's value.
