AUHSD’s Negri Resigns, Board Picks Stockton as Successor
After five years as the Superintendent of the Acalanes High School District (AUHSD), Jim Negri submitted his resignation effective June 30th. Negri will go on to serve as the superintendent of the kindergarten through twelth grade unified public school district in Castro Valley where he has lived for the past 24 years. “We accept his resignation with a great deal of sadness,” stated AUHSD Governing board member Vanessa Crews at a special meeting held on May 28th. The Governing Board then moved quickly and unanimously to choose John Stockton, AUHSD’s Associate Superintendent, as Negri’s successor. Further details of the district’s administrative reorganization plan will be presented at the next Governing Board meeting on June 3rd.
