After a long evening of debate on May 27th, the Moraga Town Council partially approved the Planning Commission’s recommendations regarding the Moraga Center Specific Plan (read the Planning Commission story on page 3). The Council agreed to add more flexibility to the plan, but capped the maximum number of units at 630 due in large part to traffic mitigation concerns. The final plan will be refined by staff and the specific plan sub-committee, which is comprised of Mayor David Trotter and Council Member Michael Metcalf. The plan will be brought back to the Council for final approval this summer. Read the full story in our next issue, June 10.
