They are patrolled by the East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) police on behalf of EBMUD. The agency has announced plans to increase the fine for expired parking meters at the Reservoir. "The fine for an expired meter will increase to $35 beginning July 1. The $35 fine would then be the same as the other meters patrolled by EBRPD police. We will be posting signs at the reservoir too, so nobody should be surprised," said EBMUD's Richard Sykes. If you don't want to carry change for the meters, yearly parking passes can be purchased.
