Local Runners Did Not Yield at Reservoir Run

For the first time the Lafayette Reservoir Run included an "Elite Mile" race, featuring runners with four-minute mile times. Stanford's Garrett Heath won the race with a time of 4:08.3. He was closely followed by Tim Bayley of Lafayette with a time of 4:09.3.
Leading the pack in the 10k run was overall winner Rob Elia of Moraga with a time of 35:39.
Alison Zamanian of Orinda was the winning female at 40:41, placing 10th overall.
The top local finishers for the 5k included Moraga's Payam Saljoughian, with a time of 17:19, second overall, and John Sun, 5th overall at 18:50.
