On October 21st Moraga Police Officers Russell Douthit and Roberto Ortiz received an award from the Moraga Orinda Fire Department for saving the life of an Orinda resident. On September 16th, the officers used their portable defibrillator to revive the man, whose heart had stopped after a car accident. MOFD personnel involved in the rescue were honored as well. The resident has since been reunited with his family.
