Bentley School in Lafayette hosted the Bay Counties League-East women's tennis team championship final on October 26, in ideal weather and in front of an enthusiastic crowd. The Lady Phoenix fought hard but fell to College Preparatory School (CPS), 4-3. With the win CPS won the perpetual trophy. However, the trophy is to be inscribed with both schools names since Bentley is the league champion and automatic qualifier for the North Coast Section Division V playoffs.
