| | | | | | As part of its Community Service activities, the St. Perpetua Webelos II Cub Scout troop prepared a home cooked meal of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, chopped salad and cookies as well as decorated place mats for 70 guests at the North Concord Shelter. (Pictured are the boys peeling 40lbs of potatoes.)
Shelter staff said that the people coming in for the meal are usually quick to stand in a line for their food, but when they saw the handmade place mats, they ran to claim a spot. When they tasted the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, they said they could taste that it was homemade, and how wonderful that was to eat a home-cooked meal.
