Moraga Police Blotter
Poop in mailbox, 12/26/09 Sometime between 2:00 p.m. 12/26 1:00 p.m. 12/28 an unknown suspect put dog feces in a Butterfield Place mailbox. The homeowner said that this has happened approximately every six weeks to three months over the past year. Obviously not the kind of Christmas gift anyone wants - stop already.

D.U.I. 12/26/09 At just after 1:00 a.m. Moraga officers were driving on Camino Pablo and observed a green Toyota weaving in the roadway. Oddly enough the driver flunked field sobriety tests. The drunk driver was arrested and later released on a promise to appear.

Party semi-busted, 12/24/09 An anonymous caller phoned the police department to let them know that his Paseo Grande neighbors were out of town and that several subjects were inside the house having a party. When the cops arrived several people ran from the front yard and closed the garage door. When officers couldn't get an answer at the front door, they continued around to the side door of the garage which had been kicked in. Alert officers smelled alcohol and the odor of non-burnt marijuana from inside the house. Officers contacted the subjects inside the residence and determined that it was okay for them to be there. Turns out the garage door damage was old. The homeowner was contacted.

Expensive Crop Circles, 12/22/09 Sometime between 3:30 p.m. 12/22 and 7:00 a.m. 12/23 someone drove a car on Campolindo's soccer field and adjacent baseball field, damaging the turf. The driver had made crop circles on both fields and knocked down a pitcher's net. Estimated damage $5,000. Whatever happened to just painting the rock on the corner of Moraga Road and Rheem Blvd? It would have been way cheaper.
