Contra Costa County District 2 Board Supervisor Gayle Ullkema (left) is pictured with Jenny Papka (center), the recipient of the William Penn Mott Jr. Award, and Terry Murphy, the Orinda Volunteer of the Year. Papka and Murphy were honored at the Orinda Association Awards dinner on January 24th. Papka was honored for her work with live wild birds and her educational outreach to members of the community. Murphy was recognized for his numerous volunteer activities throughout Orinda including his three terms on the City Planning the Commission. A. Firth
