Campolindo men's lacrosse hosted the first Junior Varsity Jamboree for some preseason practice on Saturday, March 6th. Invited teams included the Las Lomas Knights, Davis Blue Devils and the Piedmont Highlanders.

This is the first year that Campolindo has been able to field both a varsity and junior varsity team. Previously many of the younger players had to wait their turn to get playing time on the varsity. Now with a JV team the athletes can compete with other teams at their level.

This year's varsity seniors--Josh Goldberg, CP Perrella, Henry Seeley, and Davis Lehman--have been playing on the varsity team since their freshman year.

"There just weren't enough players so when we were in the game as freshman, it was pretty intimidating playing against big and skilled seniors. There wasn't much time to develop skills. We started with a 2-10 record and have steadily moved up to winning more games than losing," said Davis Lehman.

On Wednesday, April 28th from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Campolindo lacrosse program is hosting Community Night which gives the Lamorinda Lacrosse kids a chance to play on the high school field and watch a varsity game. Art Lehman, the organizer for Community Night, said, "We started this annual event to get younger kids from Lamorinda Lacrosse to play on the Campo lacrosse field, watch a varsity HS game and really get the kids and their parents excited about Lacrosse. It is bridging the gap between youth and high school lacrosse in the area."
