Errant arrow, 3/26/10 Officers were dispatched to a De La Cruz Way residence on a report of an arrow landing in the backyard. Upon contact with the reporting person, he believed a neighbor child shot the arrow into his backyard. The young cupid in question was being watched (?) by a babysitter. Mom was called; she requested police confiscate the arrow. It was taken to the Moraga Police Department and booked into evidence for destruction.
Car theft, 3/28/10 Sometime between 9:45 p.m. on 3/27 and 9:30 a.m. on 3/28 someone stole a green 1995 Honda Accord station wagon from the roadway in Miramonte Gardens.
Car break-in, 3/28/10 A blue Honda Civic was parked on Miramonte Drive overnight. When the driver returned to her car at 10:30 in the morning she found the front passenger window broken and her wallet, several credit cards, driver's license, social security card and two coats were taken from the vehicle. Several purchases had already been made to her debit card. Police believe the incidents are related.
Possession of alcohol, 3/24/10 A 19-year-old made an improper left turn at Danefield Place and Camino Ricardo. Upon contact with the female driver, Moraga's finest could smell marijuana. Taking a closer look at the interior of the car - an unusable amount of pot was found along with a half full bottle of Mickey's beer. The driver was cited and released at the scene.
Welfare check, 3/26/10 Cops were called by a concerned hair stylist to check on an 86-year-old woman who missed her hair appointment. The elderly woman was transported the week before to John Muir Hospital for injuries resulting from a fall. How thoughtful.
