D.U.I., 4/01/10 A 27-year old male was driving 49 m.p.h. in a 35 m.p.h. zone on Moraga Way near Glorietta. When he opened his mouth, the driver's breath had the unmistakable odor of alcohol. He 'fessed up to having had a couple of glasses of wine. Maybe that's why the police report notes he performed poorly on field sobriety tests?
D.U.I. and child endangerment, 3/27/10 At 1:30 in the morning a woman with a child, presumably hers, in the car was driving an estimated 55 - 60 m.p.h. on Alice Lane. She crashed into the cement and brick pillar of a residence on that street. The driver was arrested for endangering the life of a juvenile passenger and D.U.I. Unbelieveable.
Driving while stoned, 3/31/10 A car was pulled over at Camino Pablo and Camino Sobrante for an undetermined traffic violation at 11:15 at night. The driver displayed symptoms of being under the influence of marijuana, demonstrated by backing his car into the officer's car during the traffic stop. Knock me over with a feather, pot was found in the center console of the vehicle. Hmmmm, November ballot measure?
Car broken into, 3/30/10 Sometime between 6:30 p.m. on 3/29 and 6:00 a.m. on 3/30 an elderly Camino Sobrante resident had his car broken into. He had parked the car in the garage, but didn't lock the car doors or even close the garage door. In the morning he found the car with both the driver's side and passenger side doors wide open. A black leather wallet with an ATM card inside was stolen. Possible identity theft as well.
