| | | | | | Moraga youths and their teammates competed at the recent Japan Karate Ryobu-kai tournament at Cupertino High School on May 16. The group earned a total of three gold, four silver, and six bronze medals. Kassie McKinnis (13), of Moraga, took gold in Advanced Team Kumite (sparring). Joseph Tsuboi (14) of Moraga, earned two bronze medals in Advanced Kata (forms) and Kumite. Asenath Yeung (15) of Moraga won bronze in Advance Kata as well. Senior black belt Kyle McKinnis of Moraga, was one of the volunteer judges at this tournament.
