Identity Theft Leads to New Shoes, 6/15/10 An unknown subject stole the identity of a Glen Road resident. The stolen aspects of the victim's identity were: name, address, social security number and unlisted phone number. The subject used the victim's identity to secure a Massey's Shoe Catalog credit card and purchase $571.29 in shoes. The shoes were delivered to an Oakland address.

Sliding Burglar, 6/17/10 A Happy Valley Road fell victim to a sliding burglar. Lafayette Police observed a while male adult carrying a backpack and another bag away from a Happy Valley Road home. When the suspect saw the officer, he returned to the home and the officer noted the side gate and sliding door to the residence were open. Soon thereafter, a witness saw the suspect slide down a hill on the north side of the residence and drop a black bag. Property from the home was discovered in the bag and the officer was able to identify the suspect in a photo.

Library Altercation, 6/20/10 A concerned father called police to report a library patron who had detained his sons because the boys were engaged in a water balloon fight. Yes, a water balloon fight at the library. Anyway, apparently one of the boys complained of foot pain after being detained by the patron.

Armed Robbery, 6/21/10 Three male suspects entered the 7-Eleven on Mt. Diablo and robbed the store of less than $100. The smooth criminals wore black hoodies with red bandanas over their faces and black pants during their lucrative act. The same brainy threesome reportedly robbed a 7-Eleven in Walnut Creek about 40 minutes later.
