Celebrate Everyday Heroes
There are still some spaces left for golfers to join in the fun at the Celebrate Everyday Heroes golf event to be held on Monday, July 26th. With a shotgun start at noon and best ball format, the event will be a great way for any level golfer to enjoy the summer weather and the beautiful course at the Orinda Country Club. The event is being run by the Orinda Community Foundation.

"We want to honor and celebrate some of our everyday heroes in the community, like our school leaders and police and fire fighting personnel," says event co-chair Sue Severson. Proceeds from the event will benefit Big brothers Big Sisters of the Bay Area, the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, and the Orinda Community Foundation, which supports community activities, beautification and the arts in Orinda.

Registration is available online at http://everydayheroes.golfreg.com. Email questions to CelebrateEverydayHeroes@gmail.com or call Shim LaGoy at the OCC proshop at 254-0811.
