Lafayette Book Store Leaves Clocktower Building
Long Live the Bookmobile!
On Thursday, July 29, Dave Simpson invited the community to join him and his staff to reminisce and celebrate Lafayette Book Store's 48 years as an independent brick & mortar bookstore. On display were some of their historical artifacts, and they offered tours of their new home - the Bay Area Bookmobile. All of the new books were moved into the bookmobile. Dave and his staff will continue to sell books from "Big Blue," the bookstore on wheels. To find out where the bookmobile will be, do a web search for "bay area bookmobile facebook." Starting August 14, the bookmobile will park every Saturday at the new Fastframe Lafayette location on Brown Avenue.
