Topless Jeep an Easy Target, 7/20/10 The victim parked his topless jeep at 7-11 and ran in to purchase a pack of gum. When he returned, he noticed his black Adidas gym bag was missing from the passenger seat. The bag contained a cell phone, house key, basketball jerseys, Nike Air shoes, black pants and flip-flops. The loss is valued at $390.
Hit and Run, 8/1/10 When the victim stopped his car at a stop sign on Deer Hill and Oak Hill, he was rear ended by another vehicle. The victim pulled over to exchange information and the offending vehicle sped off without stopping. The suspect is described as having a thin build, unshaven face and a closely-shaved head. Damage is estimated at $375.
Attempted Theft, 8/3/10 An unknown male used an unknown object to pry open the driver's side door window of a Carol Lane resident's Hyundai Sonata. The prying caused the window to shatter and the alarm to sound. The suspect was observed trying to remove the GPS system from the car but was unsuccessful. A witness saw the suspect running from the car. Damage to the Hyundai is $1,627.
