Incumbent Brandt Andersson has been a practicing attorney since 1992, for the last three years a principal at the Law Offices of Andersson and Andersson in Walnut Creek. Prior to that he was a Staff Scientist and Principal Investigator at the Energy and Environment Division of the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory.

Finally, he's served as Grand Director for a major Bay Area philanthropic foundation.
