| Lafayette teen Mikey Teare recently enjoyed a day with Blackie, a horse who came to visit through the efforts of SonRise Equestrian Foundation. Mikey is a patient with the Comfort for Kids, a program of the Hospice of the East Bay that provides in-home medical care and support for children and teens that have life-limiting illnesses or conditions along with support for family and friends. Begun in 1995, Comfort for Kids works to keep families together and kids at home during the course of their illnesses. For more information go to www.hospicecc.org.
