Pacific Rim Volleyball Academy Boys 14s (Pac Rim) are ranked number one in the Northern California Volleyball Association Power League #1 after successful tournament play. The team, based in Pleasant Hill, includes five Lamorinda students, four from Joaquin Moraga Middle School (JM), Peter Jones, Michael Standring, Joe and Gage Worsley; and Mitchell Brooks of Orinda Intermediate School. The four JM boys also formed the nucleus of a prior club team that ranked tenth in California in 2009-2010 and went on to place 19th (Open Division) at the Junior National Volleyball tournament in Austin, Texas, this past July. The team is coached by Roger Worsley, a member of the coaching staff of the Stanford men's volleyball team, the 2010 NCAA Champions.
