The 2011 Lafayette Little League Majors Division championship game was played on Sunday, June 13th at Buckeye Field. The fifth seeded Athletics cruised their way to the championship game to take on the #2 Phillies. The Athletics earned the right by defeating the fourth seed Red Sox 4-3, then beating the #1 seed Cubs 3-0 and finally the #2 seed Phillies 7-0.

The Phillies fought their way through the Losers Bracket to reach the final game. The Phillies stole a game from the A's in the double elimination championship defeating the A's, 9-7. In Game 2, the Phillies took a two run lead into the final inning, but the boys on the Athletics played hard until the final out. The A's were able to mount a two out rally and come from behind to win the 2011 Lafayette Little League Majors Division Championship.

The Athletics next move on to represent the City of Lafayette in the District 4 Tournament of Champions and have also earned the opportunity to meet the players of the San Francisco Giants at an upcoming home game.
