Six athletes were selected for CYO's Ken Nelson Award. The "Ken Nelson Award" is for the player on each CYO eighth grade team who best represents the values of CYO basketball, as voted on by their peers-leadership, sportsmanship, hard-work and respect for all. Ken Nelson was a long time CYO Board Member and CYO coach. He also coached Campolindo High School. Nelson passed away from cancer in 2008.
