Rock the Plaza is back this summer kicking off three weeks of free Friday concerts at Lafayette Plaza with Stagefrite on August 12. For a blast from the recent past, this high energy rock and roll party band plays classics from the eighties and nineties like "Hurts so Good" and "Runnin' Down a Dream." For Lafayettans, possibly even Moragans who made it out of town and are in search of a soulful sound, The Floorshakers are playing on August 19, serving up a wide variety of funk, soul and rock and roll cover songs from Aretha Franklin, to the Ohio Players and Rick James.
