Chin with "Year of the Dragon"; 7th in a series of 12 Photo Cathy Dausman

Author Oliver Chin engaged Moraga library patrons with his colorful presentation, (complete with vocal exclamations and sound effects) of Dominic the dragon. His latest book, Year of the Dragon: Tales from the Chinese Zodiac celebrates the upcoming Chinese New Year. This is his seventh release in a series of children's books for each of the Chinese celestial signs. He started in 2006 with the year of the Dog (his sign). Chin admits he "didn't necessarily want to work for 12 years" but he is committed to completing the series. He also believes his is the first such collection written in English for Asian Americans.
