The Gaels won the Pacific Coast Softball Conference Coastal Division Title last week. Saint Mary's was picked to finish fourth in the division, but they swept LMU to clinch the title for the second time in three years.
The Gaels will now host a playoff against Portland State, the winner of the PCSC Mountain Division, on May 11 at Cottrell Field at 3:00 p.m. The winner of the best-of-three series will earn the automatic berth to the NCAA tournament. The Gaels beat Portland State 2-1 earlier this season.
Saint Mary's finished 25-21 with a program best, 15-4 conference record. C.Graveson
