Mrs. Corcoran's fourth-grade Lafayette Elementary class recently hosted a Beatnik Poetry Slam Coffeehouse. Cool cats and chicks alike sipped on "coffee" (hot chocolate) and read their own Haikus complete with Bongo drumming in the background.
