On June 2, two Orinda Youth Association teams opened the brand new Wilder Baseball Fields with its first game. They started the season off in "the minors" at the Pine Grove field, and moved up to "the big league." The Orinda Padres and Orinda A's proudly took the field for their final game of the season at the new park. City Council member Dean Orr was in the stands for the big game.
