The Orinda City Council Recognized Orinda Union School District Superintendent

The Orinda City Council recognized outgoing Orinda Union School District Superintendent, Dr. Joe Jaconette, at its Jan. 12 meeting. Jaconette, who served as the superintendent of Orinda schools since 2007, announced his retirement from the OUSD in September. A search committee was established to find a replacement and the Orinda School Board recently announced it is in the second phase of the interview process. The board hopes to announce a new superintendent appointment by Feb. 8.
