Classic Film Festival This Weekend in Orinda and Moraga May 10-12 (See Moraga listing)

Reagan and Zoe's Mother's Day Walk for Breast Cancer
Help Orinda Intermediate School students raise money to fund mammograms for moms taking care of families while battling breast cancer Sunday, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Sunday, May 12 at the St. Stephen's Trail in Orinda (trail starts in downtown Orinda, and proceeds up to St. Stephen's Drive.). Take a Mother's Day stroll in honor of the women and girls you love - or come out to cheer on one of the walkers who will raise critically needed funds to pay for testing at the Carol Ann Read Breast Health Center. Swan Lake at Orinda Library Theater

Mercy Ships
Learn about life aboard the largest non-governmental hospital ship in the world at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 29 from long-time Orinda resident and licensed merchant marine, John Creech, who has been volunteering since 2001 with this inspiring organization which brings life-changing healthcare and hope to children and adults in West Africa. Members of the general public are encouraged to attend this free program, which is sponsored by the Orinda Historical Society. Social time with refreshments starts at 6:30 p.m. General membership meeting and presentation begin at 7 p.m. at the Orinda Community Church, 10 Irwin Way. A Revolution in Aesthetics through Dance
The Friends of the Orinda Library present "A Revolution in Aesthetics through Dance: The Life and Art of Isadora Duncan" at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29 in the Orinda Library Garden, 26 Orinda Way. Dancer, Lois Flood, and narrator-poet, Marjorie Lynn Wagner, bring the revolutionary dancer, Isadora Duncan, to life. Known as the mother of "modern dance," Duncan founded the "New System" of interpretive dance, blending together poetry, music and the rhythms of nature. Free and open to the public.

Orinda Library Summer Music Series
The Orinda Library and Friends of the Orinda Library present the Fourth Annual Summer Music Series. All performances are free, open to all, and begin at 6:30 p.m. inside the Orinda Library, 26 Orinda Way. The first performance includes Orinda's Hometown Favorite, The Real Placebos Wednesday, June 19.

Orinda Starlight Village Players
Get your tickets now for what are sure to be sellout performances of the Orinda Starlight Village Players beginning May 31 through June 22 with "Love from a Stranger," the Frank Vosper adaptation of Agatha Christie's "Philomel Cottage." One homicidal maniac plus one damsel in distress with fiance waiting in the wings will keep mystery lovers on tenterhooks. Summer Concerts in the Park
Thrill to opera outdoors or groove to cool jazz on warm evenings at Orinda's fabulous, free, and fun Concerts in the Park each Tuesday at the Orinda Library Theater.
