Following last year's successful Lafayette Community Day - where hundreds of community members volunteered their time on projects and activities involving human services, youth development and education, town beautification and more - the Community Foundation, the city, and the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce will once again partner for the second annual Community Day to be held Saturday, June 3. The day will start at 8:30 a.m. with a light breakfast and kickoff rally at Plaza Park and after volunteering, everyone returns at 11:30 a.m. to the park for lunch, a word from the mayor about the 175th Celebration, a small nonprofit fair, music, and recognition.
