Sweet Thursday Author Series features Lowell Cohn
(Provided)

Lowell Cohn spent 40 years in the press box delivering a unique perspective on the biggest stars, events, and storylines in sports. As a former San Francisco Chronicle and Press Democrat columnist, he has seen it all. Cohn’s tell-all book, “Gloves Off,” goes directly into the locker room with him and takes you into the rarified world of sports that you can’t see from the confines of your newspaper.

Cohn got his Doctorate of Philosophy from Stanford University and was an instructor at the Stanford Creative Writing Program. He became a sports columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle and Press Democrat, was awarded San Francisco Bay Area Sports Columnist of the Year eight times, and he is a member of the Writer’s Division of the NFL Hall of Fame.

Join the Sweet Thursday Author Series at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16 in the DTCH at the Lafayette Library to hear author, Lowell Cohn. Register to attend in person at tinyurl.com/sweet-Apr2026. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for coffee and sweets, and books will be available for purchase. This program is presented by Friends of the Lafayette Library.
