| The Orinda Community Center Holiday Bazaar is back by popular demand after a one year absence! The Holiday Bazaar is being brought back by Holiday Bazaar Chairwoman Jennifer Robb, and will be put on by the Orinda Community Center Auxiliary (OCCA). The OCCA is an all volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining and improving the Orinda Community Center facilities and programs. The Holiday Bazaar is the OCCA's primary fund raiser. The OCCA uses 100% of the proceeds to support and benefit the Community Center's facilities, fund the Halloween Parade in the Park, and largely fund the Summer Concert Series in the Park. The OCCA is currently looking for new members. If you enjoy helping the community and like young children, please contact the Community Center office at 925-254-2445 or email occabazaar@yahoo.com. (Residents from all areas welcome.)
The Holiday Bazaar will be a one day only event this year, on Saturday, November 6th from 9:30 to 4:30pm. It will take place at the Orinda Community Center at 28 Orinda Way, in Orinda. The Community Center is next to the Community Park and is between the Orinda Library and the Orinda Farmer's Market-both also open that day.
Admission to the Holiday Bazaar is free and there will be a variety of entertainment groups performing throughout the day, with face painting provided by the Orinda Teen Advisory Council. There will be lots of new vendors selling handmade items, several community groups, gourmet goodies, fine jewelry, art, unique items for the home, fun pet items, and many specialty gifts. The Holiday Bazaar has enjoyed enormous community support over the years, and strives to make an attractive and profitable venue for the vendors at this historic landmark with its wide promenade outside, several meeting rooms and a large auditorium. Start your holiday shopping early at the Holiday Bazaar and support the Orinda Community Center.
