Divers Compete in Region Championships

Sherman Swim School took five divers to the Region 10 U.S. Junior Diving Championships in Beaverton, Oregon, March 5-6. Over 400 divers from nine states competed.
Morgan Matranga (Moraga) completed four new dives in the 14-15 girls three meter springboard. Matranga scored 272 points and placed 17th.
Brenna Cetrone (Orinda) traveled for the first time to compete in the 12-13 girls three meter competition. She finished just one-tenth of a point away from medaling, finishing 13th overall.
Maren Kjell (Moraga) competed against 60 girls in the 16-18 girls one meter springboard. She finished 23rd overall, scoring 299.70 points on nine dives.
Asher Lichtig (Lafayette) placed 11th in the 16-18 boys one meter springboard with 366.10 points.
