Tri-City Dance Canceled

The tri-city teen dance scheduled for this Friday, April 22 has been canceled due to slow ticket sales. "We had to cancel because we didn't have enough people buy tickets by our Tuesday night deadline. We had to commit to the DJ and security and had to draw the line," said New Rheem Theater Program Director Beau Behan, who added that he hopes another three-school dance will be scheduled at the venue.
The next teen dance will be on May 6th. "We will make sure that tougher rules are enforced and are meeting with the Chief of Police to cooperate on security," added Behan who does not want to see unpleasant incidents tarnish the reputation of the teen events.
