Moraga Police Blotter

Skateboard versus Safeway flooring, 9/01/11 A 22-year old Canyon resident road his skateboard down the aisle of Moraga's only grocery story causing approximately $200 damage to the tile flooring. Because it was almost 11:00 p.m. apparently there was a scarcity of shoppers to bump into. The subject was placed under Citizen's Arrest for vandalism. He was released at the scene after signing a promise to appear in court.

Cat fight, 9/01/11 Or as the cops describe it: "battery by non-cohabitating adults." Two women in a dating relationship, apparently a bit rocky at the moment, had a physical altercation. The aggressor was arrested for domestic violence/battery and taken to the Martinez Detention Facility. Neither party asked for medical attention.

Mailbox damage, 9/01/11 An attack of the late night mailbox criminal, also known as the unknown suspect. Sometime during the night, a Fernwood Drive mailbox was damaged. Unfortunately no witnesses or leads at this time. Estimated value $300.

Auto burglary, 9/01/11 Officers were dispatched to St. Mary's Road and Moraga Road for the theft of a purse from a locked Lexus in the early evening. The right front passenger window was smashed, and the purse on the front passenger seat was taken. Estimated loss $1,000.

Upset woman in bank, 8/29/11 Concerned Wells Fargo Bank staff called police about an adult female inside the bank who claimed she was assaulted. Arriving officers contacted the woman in the parking lot - oddly enough she did not mention any alleged assault. She did however show signs of intoxication - odor of alcohol, wobbly and a range of emotions. She became agitated speaking with police and event kicked and spit while sitting inside the patrol car. She was arrested for being drunk in public.

Phone found, 8/26/11 At 10:40 in the morning a Good Samaritan turned in an iPhone that was left at the Commons Park. If you're missing your phone - check with police.
