Orinda Police Blotter

If at First You Don't Succeed...8/31/11...apparently you're doomed to failure! A persistent 21 year old woman tried to cash a forged check for over $2,600 at Bank of America in Orinda, after trying the same stunt 30 minutes earlier at Bank of America, Moraga. She was still at the Orinda branch when two Moraga B of A witnesses ID'd her. Turns out she's on active probation in Stanislaw County, so this will likely not sit well with her parole officer. She was booked into Martinez Detention Facility.

Quiet, Please 8/24/11 A male was found to be in possession of a stolen I-phone near the Orinda library when police found the phone in his jacket pocket. Boy, those librarians can really enforce a "no talking" zone, can't they?!

Rodeo Drive Roundup, 8/23/11 A 43 year old male resident of Beverly Hills worked his way north to Orinda, where he was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Santa Clara County. He was taken to Martinez Detention Facility, where bail was set at $1,000. Dispatch, that's a 9-0-2-1-"uh-oh"...
