Rape Suspect Arrested at SMC

An 18-year-old student was arrested at Saint Mary’s College on Monday, September 11, on suspicion of rape.
According to Moraga Police Chief Robert Priebe, police responded to the campus at about 3:30 a.m. after the victim reported that she had been assaulted in another student's dorm room within the past hour.
The victim provided details of the assault and identified the assailant. She was examined and treated at County Hospital.
The suspect, Nicholas Conzachi, was arrested at his dorm room around noon and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility with bail set at $100,000.
