New Girl Scout Leaders There is still time to join!

During the Leader Meeting held on September 27 at the beautiful Girl Scout Camp Twin Canyon, located in the heart of Lafayette, the Lafayette Service Unit welcomed the volunteers that stepped up to be leaders of new and existing Girl Scout troops. Cadette Scouts from Troop 30814 conducted the flag down ceremony at sunset during the meeting.
Brownie Scouts from Troop 30577 led the singing of the song "On My Honor" to kick off the start of the 100th year of Girl Scouting in the USA.
There are still girls looking for troops to join and a need for interested adults - male or female- to lead and/or co-lead troops. Without adult leaders, there is no Girl Scouting. To be a Girl Scout leader, you must be at least 18 years of age. You can volunteer to lead your daughter's troop, but if you don't have a daughter, you can still be a volunteer. You do not have to have any experience. Girl Scouts discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together, and you can be a part of it!
