The Moraga Orinda Fire District announced late Tuesday a Special Meeting of its Board of Directors, to be held on Thursday, December 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the Moraga Library, 1500 St. Mary's Road. Of note on the agenda: The possible lease/purchase of the building located at 1150 Moraga Way. The Board opted earlier this fall not to pursue the building in question, but will reconsider its decision in light of new terms that MOFD staff labels “very favorable.” The Board is also scheduled to elect new officers for the coming year and to discuss several other items, including a Draft Financial Statement for fiscal year 2010-11, the purchase of a new fire engine, and the roles and responsibilities of the Board and the Fire Chief.
