Miramonte Wrestling Competes in Tournaments

The last weekend in January, the Miramonte wrestling teams competed in two tournaments. At the Redwood JV tournament, both Josh Laney and Elliot Fong placed second, and Christopher Holobetz and Luke Ostrom took home medals for third place.
It was a very long day for the varsity wrestlers who went to Santa Rosa for the Colt Invitational. At the end of the day, junior Micah Spalding took fourth place with two wins and one loss. Senior Kai Shimoko took seventh with three wins and two losses.
On Thursday, January 31, Miramonte hosted Dublin, but lost a close match 39-33.
