SMC Women's Tennis Qualifies for Post-Season Tourney

Saint Mary's women's tennis is headed to the NCAA tournament for the third consecutive year. The Gaels earned an at-large bid for the second straight year. Currently ranked #41, the Gaels will play #28 Yale on Friday, May 11 at Stanford's Taube Tennis Center.
The Gaels finished the regular season 7-1 and earned at #2 seed in the WCC tournament but fell in the second round to the eventual champion, San Diego.
It is only the second time in SMC Athletics history that a program has participated in three consecutive NCAA tournaments.
The tennis program had four players named to All-WCC teams this season. In addition to earning All-WCC Second Team Doubles honors, sophomore Jenny Jullien and junior Catherine Isip were named to All-WCC First-Team Singles, and senior Anna Chkhikvishvili was named All-WCC Second-Team Singles. Sophomore Jade Frampton also earned doubles honors.
