Nik Moore, a Stanley eighth grader from Lafayette, and Jack Mader, an OIS seventh grader from Orinda, ran the Glide Floss Bridge to Bridge race in San Francisco on September 30. The race benefitted Special Olympics. The boys, who are Diablo Valley Track and Field teammates, finished fourth and fifth overall out of almost 800 entries. This was Moore's first time and Mader's third time participating in the event.
Aidan Mcbride, an OIS 7th grader from Orinda, also finished in the top of his age group. Fellow DVCTF members, Jenna Miles from Moraga and Cassidy Haskell from Orinda, were the top female and age group finishers in the 7k.
