| Lafayette mom Francie Low has been writing about random, humorous everyday happenings since starting her blog, Shoezle, over a year ago. A recent blog written as a letter to the new pope outlined how to deal with the complexities of the name Francis. "With so much to learn in your new job, I thought I would try to help you out with some shortcuts managing your name," Low wrote on her blog post. "I know you didn't know this was going to be a job too, being a Francis. That's OK, it's new to you. I have forty-eight years of experience to share." Low's letter then went on to include a humorous account of how to deal with nicknames, mispronunciations, and misspellings. Low read her complete letter March 29 on KQED Public Radio as part of the "With a Perspective" segment and her letter was published on the KQED website April 3.
