Oakland Strokes Rowing Club left the May 2014 US Rowing SW Regionals Jr. Championships with eight gold medals. The Championships took place at Lake Natoma Aquatic Center in Folsom and featured 36 clubs from across the western states. The Women's Varsity 8+ boat finished in first place for the second year in a row. Men's Varisty 8+ beat rival Marin Rowing by 0.04 seconds to finish in first place. Overall, Oakland Strokes took home eight gold medals, nine silver medals, and seven bronze medals. Six boats qualified for the Nationals in June.
