Double Winners from Lemonade Stand Sales

This summer, Rheem School incoming fifth-grade pals Dean Elia, left, and Alessandro Paolieri, right, with help from younger brother and incoming third-grader MarcAnthony Paolieri, center, organized their second lemonade-and-cookies fundraiser on Bollinger Canyon Road. This year they chose as beneficiaries Doctors Without Borders (www.doctorswithoutborders.org), which provides urgent medical care in war-torn and impoverished areas around the world, and Wild Aid (www.wildaid.org) that works to end the killing of elephants and other endangered wildlife. Once again, their homemade lemonade and cookies were a hit, raising $120 to be divided between the two charities.
